Sarah Powers

I grew up in a small town in the middle of nowhere (most people call it Missouri). I moved to Asheville, NC almost a decade ago and I love it! I have a four-year-old little boy named Jackson who is equal parts exhausting and hilarious. I was a hairdresser for a few years before jumping into a new career that I never thought I'd see myself in and I couldn't be happier about it.

Fun Facts About Me!

Going to literally any restaurant, we have the best of them.

My Favorite Part About My Job

I was only 22 years old when I had my son. I was scared and totally unprepared for the ways in which my life would change. When I was pregnant one of my friends handed me her old single use pump. I used it a hand full of times and then gave up. If I would have known what I know now or had someone there to show it to me, my breastfeeding experience would have been a lot different. I often think about how I took it for granted and didn't get out of it what I should have and wish that I could go back and do it over again. My favorite part about this job is sharing my experience with other first time moms and providing them the support that I desperately needed and didn't receive. I make it my duty and privilege to provide them with the information about breast pumps and breastfeeding that I could have used because if I don't do it, they might never get it.

My Favorite Pumping Accessory

One of my favorite accessories are the Lansinoh TheraPearl 3-in-1 Therapy Packs. Not only do they offer cool and warm therapy for sore breasts but they can also be used warm to trick your body into thinking that your baby is at the breast and help your pumping time go smoother.
