Celebrating & Supporting Every Journey during
Breastfeeding Awareness Month
August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month, a time to advocate for better support and more honest conversations. This month, and every month, we celebrate whatever breastfeeding looks like for you—in all its messiness, strength, joy, and challenges.
Get support and share your breastfeeding journey with us, all month long.

Breastfeeding Moms Need Support
Moms are committed to breastfeeding, despite experiencing challenges throughout their journeys.
A recent Aeroflow Breastpumps survey* found:
Over half (56%) of moms surveyed set a goal to breastfeed 7+ months, yet close to 40% were unable to reach their goal.
However, the survey also revealed that the right support can make a meaningful difference.
57% said that better access to support would have helped them breastfeed longer

When asked what they needed most during the first six months postpartum, moms agreed on three things: mental health support, lactation support, and a supportive village. Together, these needs accounted for nearly half of all open-ended responses—ranking higher than even physical recovery support, household help, or baby care support.
While every breastfeeding journey is unique, it does not need to feel lonely. We’re hoping to help change that by surrounding moms with the care, resources, and support they need.
2026 Survey
Findings from a recent Aeroflow Breastpumps survey showed that moms are having a hard time meeting their intended breastfeeding goals.
e.g. 8 in 10 moms planned to breastfeed for at least 6 months—but only 4 in 10 reached that goal.
One of the top reasons was not having access to the right support. (TBD data point)
With the right resources, we’re hoping to help moms thrive on their breastfeeding journeys.

Give the Gift of Donor Milk Support
Breastfeeding rarely follows a perfect script and sometimes the journey looks different than you expected. Through it all, we believe every mom deserves the support to help her baby thrive.
That's why this month, we're donating to the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA) to help provide safe access to donor milk for infants in need.
About HMBANA
HMBANA is a nonprofit organization that helps accredit milk banks in the US and Canada. All HMBANA member milk banks follow a set of standards to ensure safe distribution of donated human milk.
Donated milk goes through rigorous safety steps—including donor screening, pasteurization, and microbiological testing—before it is dispensed to families.
